Mr Alan TUNG

Mr. Tung serves as Managing Director of Island Navigation Corporation International Limited, a Hong Kong based shipping company. The INC group of companies is active in owning, operating and managing of bulk carriers and tankers trading globally for over 70 years.

Mr. Tung served as an Executive Director and the Chief Financial Officer of Orient Overseas (International) Ltd., a company listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, until August 2018. The Company’s wholly-owned subsidiary Orient Overseas Container Line Limited is an integrated international containerized transportation and logistics company and operates under the trade name OOCL. Mr. Tung also served as Managing Director of Orient Overseas Development Limited (“OODL”) until January 2010. OODL was a real estate development company with development and investment activities in residential, commercial, retail and hotel sectors in China.

Mr. Tung is an Independent Non-Executive Director of Swire Shipping Pte. Ltd. and Swire Bulk Holdings Pte. Ltd., both shipping companies of the Swire Group based in Singapore. Mr. Tung also serves as a Non-Executive Director of both The Steamship Mutual Underwriting Association (Bermuda) Limited and The Steamship Mutual Underwriting Association Limited, a marine Protection & Indemnity insurance group based in London and Bermuda.

Mr. Tung is a Member of the Hong Kong Maritime and Port Development Board, an independent statutory body set up by the HKSAR Government to work with the Private Sector, Board Member of the Hong Kong Maritime Museum Limited, a Council Member of INTERTANKO and the International Association of Dry Cargo Shipowners (Intercargo). Mr. Tung serves on the Board of Governors of the Our Hong Kong Foundation, an NGO dedicated to the betterment of Hong Kong. He was the Chairman of the Hong Kong Shipowners Association and served on the HKSAR Government’s Economic Development Commission.

Mr. Tung was appointed as Justice of Peace by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region in 2017.
