Eva Chan is Managing Director at Bank Julius Baer where she has served as Hong Kong Market Head and Greater China Group Head since 2015. She leads market strategy, regional business expansion and P&L accountability across Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Serves as Executive Officer of the Hong Kong Branch under Hong Kong Monetary Authority Banking Ordinance, Eva is entrusted with ultimate responsibility for legal, regulatory and prudential oversight. As a senior member of the HK Branch Management Committee and Risk Management Committee, she oversees the Bank's corporate governance, conduct risk, capital allocation and long-term sustainability. Eva is also a key management sponsor for regional AI adoption, philanthropic mandates and global leadership champion for succession planning.
Eva has over 40 years of experience in the financial industry. Having worked at Morgan Stanley for 21 years, she was most recently Head of Sales Hong Kong & China in Private Wealth Management, advising ultra-high-net-worth families, private family offices, NGOs, endowments and foundations on bespoke wealth management solutions and succession planning. Previously, she held senior positions in Morgan Stanley's Fixed income division and advising Sovereign Wealth Funds, corporates, commercial banks and insurers across Greater China. Eva began her career with Banc One Corporation (now J.P. Morgan), where she spent a decade specializing fixed income derivative trading and Bank Asset & Liability Management. Eva graduated from the University of Chicago with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. She is a member of Private Wealth Management Association (PWMA), Hong Kong Women Professional and Entrepreneurs Association (HKWPEA) & Hong Kong Professionals and Senior Executives Association (HKPSEA).
